The NHL regular season will be played next autumn in Tampere, when Columbus Blue Jackets and Colorado Avalanche will hit each other in the Nokia arena on 4.11 and 5.11.
Tickets for the matches will go on sale at Lippupiste on Friday 29.4. at 10.00.
The toughest NHL stars in Finland may be seen in Kaukalo, as they are currently playing in Columbus Patrik Laine and Joonas Korpisalo as well as in Colorado Mikko Rantanen and Artturi Lehkonen.
However, the situation may be different next autumn, as Korpisalo’s contract expires this season, and he will be free to choose a new club next summer. The contracts between Laine and Lehkonen will also end, but they will only become limited free agents, allowing Columbus and Colorado to keep the gentlemen in their ranks if they wish.
Of the NHL teams, regular season games in Europe are also played by Nashville Predators and San Jose Sharks. The teams will open their season in Prague from 7 to 8 October.
Nashville and San Jose will also end their training camps in Europe by playing screenings against SC Bern and Eisbären Berlin.
The NHL will travel to Europe next autumn for the ninth time to play regular season games. A total of 28 NHL matches have already been played in Europe.
The last time NHL games were seen in Finland was in November 2018. At that time, the Florida Panthers and the Winnipeg Jets were playing in full stands in Helsinki.
