Munich (dpa) – According to information from “Kicker”, the national soccer players Thomas Müller and Manuel Neuer should only get one-year contracts with FC Bayern Munich.
Several media had recently reported on an imminent agreement for contract extensions over two years with the veterans of the German record champions. Neither Müller nor Neuer have yet reached an agreement, but according to “Kicker” it’s only a matter of details.
Both professionals are still under contract in Munich until the end of the coming season. The 32-year-old Müller and the 36-year-old Neuer are said to have also received the signal that they can play at Bayern beyond 2024 if they perform well.
Müller has been playing for the record champions for over two decades and made his Bundesliga debut in 2008. The 2014 world champion is one of the top earners in the squad. Neuer has been playing in Munich since the summer of 2011.
