The amount of litter in the Wadden Sea has increased since 2018. This mainly concerns plastic, paraffin and ceramics, Rijkswaterstaat and the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality reported on Tuesday. There is as yet no good explanation for the increase in the amount of waste. It may be due to the increase in the number of tourists.
