Bisschops comes over from Fortuna Sittard, where he played in the youth academy since 2014. In 2024 he made his debut in the Premier League with a substitute appearance against Heracles Almelo. “I have played for Fortuna Sittard since I was eight, but now a wonderful new chapter begins for me as a player for FC Volendam. With my winning mentality, energy and 100 percent commitment, I want to give everything for the team and for the supporters.”
“Daan is a versatile character player who is also completely two-legged,” says technical director Patrick Busby on the FC Volendam website. “He has the courage to defend forward and towards midfield. Offensively, he is able to contribute to our attacking efficiency and provide crosses. Daan is also fast and strong in dueling. For us, Daan will initially focus on the left back position.”
