The driver of one of the cars involved in the accident on the A67 on Saturday evening was probably driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. The police announced this on Sunday. It concerns a 34-year-old Englishman who has been arrested.

The accident happened around half past eight in the evening near Helenaveen. For unknown reasons, the driver of a white Toyota crashed into the back of a red Citroën, causing it to roll over. There were two women and two children in that Citroën. They all suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital.

The driver of the Toyota, a 34-year-old Englishman, was taken away in handcuffs by the police.
