A video posted on social media after an accident, a car-motorcycle collision, in which a girl, Sofia Barbieri, 23 years old on June 26, lost her life, daughter of the councilor of the municipality of Ceriale (Savona) for social services, Barbara De Stefano. The accident occurred on the night between 19 and 20 June along Via Aurelia. In the video a boy laughs and says “I swear, this is dead… we broke everything tonight, bro. No work for a month brother, they did an attempted murder on us”. Hours later, the same boy published another video, this time apologizing: “I didn’t understand the gravity of things, I’m an idiot. I’m ashamed.”

As mentioned, the accident occurred last night on the Aurelia. The two girls who were on board a motorbike collided with a Fiat 500 and were both thrown to the ground. Sofia died shortly afterwards at the Santa Corona hospital in Pietra Ligure. The other girl, EB, is in serious condition in the same hospital. The investigations carried out by the Carabinieri, coordinated by the Savona prosecutor’s office, made it possible to reconstruct the dynamics of the violent frontal-lateral clash. The driver of the car, who had only been licensed for three months, had her driving license immediately withdrawn. The young woman was simultaneously subjected to the ritual tests to verify the possible presence of a state of psychophysical alteration at the time of the impact, with negative results. At the end of the formalities, the driver of the car was reported at liberty for vehicular homicide and very serious personal injury.
