Two cars collided on the A67 highway from Venlo to Eindhoven on Saturday evening. That happened near Helenaveen. One of the cars overturned several times.
Several people were injured in the accident. There were also children in one of the cars. Several ambulances and the fire brigade arrived at the scene of the accident. According to a police spokesperson, one person was taken to hospital for evaluation.
According to a photographer, a driver was taken to the police station. The reason for the arrest is not yet known.
The road was completely closed in the direction of Eindhoven. This caused a mile-long traffic jam on Saturday evening.
