The Chinese metropolis of Wuhan is experiencing serious flooding after heavy and prolonged rainfall. Streets and tunnels were flooded because the drainage system could not handle the large amount of rainfall. Wuhan became known worldwide as the city where the first major outbreak of COVID-19 was identified at the end of 2019.
