Due to last night’s storm, WMD Water is able to produce less drinking water in the Hoogeveen region. A transport pipeline near Hoogeveen has been damaged, resulting in less water being supplied.
That is why WMD asks residents of Hoogeveen and the surrounding area to be economical with drinking water. Problems with the water pressure may cause less water to come out of the tap
Only half the normal amount of groundwater comes to WMD in Hoogeveen. This means that less drinking water can be produced for that environment.
According to WMD, it is complicated to repair the supply. In any case, the recovery will take all of Saturday. But the water company does not yet know exactly how long it will take.
Disruptions also occurred in other places in Drenthe due to last night’s storm. Around noon, WMD worked on repairs at ten locations.
