“All in all, I enjoyed our collaboration,” says an enthusiastic Antonia. That the two appreciated each other became clear a year later when Van de Looi moved to Willem II in 2016. “He asked if I would go with him, but I already had other plans.” The fast winger from Amsterdam continued his career at Go Ahead Eagles.
Reinier Robbemond
In Tilburg, Van de Looi worked with his assistant Reinier Robbemond. The Heerhugowaarr was his right-hand man for a year and a half. “A great guy and a good person too.”
Robbemond: “He is the type of trainer who gives his staff a lot of responsibility. I liked that. In addition to the hard work, we also had a lot of fun in the trainer’s room.”
