Beloved television personalities Mikko “Peltsi” Peltola and his son Osmo Peltola, 14, plan to spend Midsummer peacefully at the family’s cottage in Hämeenlinna.
Pelts second nature Peltsi, who has just returned from filming the show, tells Iltalehti that the duo’s Midsummer traditions include, among other things, “fierce” saunas and burning Midsummer bonfires.
Time is naturally spent with the family, and Peltsi hopes that the weather will stay good throughout the weekend.
At the dining table, Peltsi is waiting to taste one product in particular.
– Sahti has come to be drunk during Midsummer. However, you can’t get it from your grandparents here, you have to get it from Lamm next door, he says.
Peltsi refers to Lammi Sahti, located in the village of Lammi in Hämeenlinna, which is the oldest small brewery in Finland.
In terms of food, the family has traditionally grilled, but there are no specific classics to be found.
However, Peltsi, who was sailing on a week-long filming trip, says that he wants to eat lighter this Midsummer.
– There wasn’t much salad on offer during the filming trip, he sums up.
Peltsi also shared a Midsummer photo on his Instagram on Friday.

In the caption of the publication, he reminds people to stay safe during Midsummer.
– Hey guys, good guys! Have fun and stay afloat! he writes.
Delighted Osmo
At the beginning of June, Pelts’ son Osmo was at a rip-off camp for disabled youth at the Lärkkulla camp center.
According to Pelts, Osmo was left with a good feeling about the confessional camp and confirmation. There are also clear signs of puberty in the air at the moment.
– The teenager has love on his mind, so it certainly feels pretty good, Peltola says with a laugh on the phone.
According to Pelts, Osmo didn’t have a crush on anyone at the rip camp. Outside the camp, however, the situation is different.
– Outside of Ripari, he has fallen in love with a lot of people. Yes, he talks a lot about crushes, says Peltola.
Osmo’s ordination training started with his sister’s ordination party a couple of years ago. At that time, Osmo clearly expressed himself that he wanted to go to riparian, and later a suitable camp was found for him.
A trip to the north
Peltsi says that he plans to travel to Lapland with Osmo during the summer. The couple is supposed to travel to Kilpisjärvi, i.e. right at the border of the Finnish arm.
Peltsi and Osmo have also visited Kilpisjärvi before. In May 2025, Peltsi published a picture on his Instagram where they had been fishing in the winter scenery at Kilpisjärvi.
