Thousands of reports of serious crimes remain undone: alarm about police who do not have their priorities in order

According to the Court of Audit, the police missed more than 10,000 reports of serious crimes in 2024. According to the controller of government policy, this included hundreds of violent and sexual crimes as well as cases involving subversive crime. Minister David van Weel (Justice) has serious doubts about the findings.
