A London hospital employee was fired after groping the Princess of Wales Catherine’s health information and after trying to sell it on, reports the Mirror.
The health information was at a private, reputable London clinic of which Catherine was a patient in 2024. Catherine underwent an operation in the abdominal area at the clinic. He was treated at the clinic for a period of 13 days.
The data protection commissioner’s office tells the newspaper that a trusted employee of the clinic deliberately tried to get hold of the princess’s hospital information and reveal it for financial gain in 2024. He was tracked down when disturbed rumors about Catherine’s diagnosis and the treatment received at the clinic began to spread on social media.
Three days after the data leak, Catherine herself said on her Instagram account that she was sick with cancer.
The internal investigation related to the case lasted two years. As a result of the investigation, the employee was dismissed from his position. According to the Mirror, he has not received any other punishment so far.
