According to HLN, French police were already chasing a van from France. They were also allowed to continue driving on Belgian territory. The chase finally ended around four o’clock this morning at the Ei. One person was reportedly arrested.
The handling also took a while, witnesses reported that there were still police cars there even after five o’clock.
The public prosecutor’s office does not want to say more than that a judicial investigation is underway.
