Eintracht Frankfurt’s sports director Markus Krösche is said to have verbally agreed with AC Milan on a move to the fashion city. Several Italian media reported this unanimously on Monday. Now there were clear words from the SGE.
Eintracht Frankfurt President Mathias Beck spoke very clearly to “Bild” about the rumors that SGE sports director Markus Krösche was about to say goodbye to the Hessians.
“There was no one from AC Milan who approached us about Markus Krösche,” explains the 55-year-old. But that’s not all: “And after consulting with Markus Krösche, we as the main committee of Eintracht Frankfurt have no indication that he wants to leave Eintracht before the end of his contract term in 2028,” Beck also emphasized.
According to “Bild”, the exchange between the Eintracht management level and Krösche took place on Monday afternoon. This clearly led to the realization that Krösche was not drawn to Milan.
Eintracht Frankfurt would have to approve Krösche’s departure
In any case, the eagle bearers have the longest leverage: Krösche’s contract does not end until the summer of 2028, and an exit clause is said to exist, but is currently not valid. Therefore, the Eintracht main committee around Beck, Felix Wimmer and Sven Janssen would have to give approval for a change. However, Beck’s words do not even begin to suggest that the Hessians are ready for this.
There was already talk of an agreement in Italy. The Italian transfer expert Matteo Moretto from Fabrizio Romano’s team reports, for example, that there is a verbal agreement between Krösche and the Rossoneri and that the move is almost finalized. According to Moretto, SGE sports director Timmo Hardung should follow Krösche to Milan.
