Rosmery Maturana prefers to be called “Oscurita”, her stage name. “Oscurita”, then, settles down in the center of her kitchen, checks that the kettle is not boiling, tries on a poster smile and begins to chant a song under her breath, as if she were waiting for a camera to strike her. It is a song that has not yet been released, of which he only hums a few verses, but enough to arouse curiosity. His previous hit had left the bar high – “what’s that lion going to have? With that package he’s carrying, no one can ignore it, that package accelerates the heart” – and to this, in addition, is added the World Cup fever.
Finally he makes up his mind – or acts like he makes up his mind -, takes out his cell phone, plays a cumbia recorded with artificial intelligence and starts singing upstairs. “Give it guasca, guasca, give it, with every champion, Argentina is singing with the strength of its heart. Give it guasca, guasca, let the excitement resound, the La Pulga fans want another Cup, another emotion.” Then he lets out a long laugh that echoes in the discreet apartment he has in Olivos.
“Oscurita” is frankly happy. Being in the center of the scene, being interviewed, sought after, talked about, seems to revitalize her. It is not a metaphor: it is four in the afternoon on Tuesday the 9th, and she has only been out of the hospital for a few hours. The day before she had had a stress spike and had to be medicated. As everything seems like a science fiction story – starting with the audios that appeared with risqué conversations between her and the President -, “Oscurita” attaches a photo as if to prove that she is serious. She is seen in a blue shirt, her face somewhat swollen, and a serum coming out of her arm. “All this is taking its toll on me,” he says.
By “all this” she refers to the following: having fallen in love – a term that she does not use but that can be guessed in her words – with Javier Milei, speaking “every day” with him from 2021 until mid-last year, spending hours and hours advising him on his image, his speech, or directly listening to his problems, receiving the blow that the already President formalized with two other women, being accused by the last couple, “Yuyito” González, of being the third in contention and the reason of that separation, cutting communication with the president from one day to the next, receiving a hack, turning on the TV and listening to his most private conversations on the national network and receiving hundreds of darts, several of them from women of the ruling party commanded by Lilia Lemoine. This is, at least, the story of “Oscurita”, to which surely several of those involved would add a but, starting with the long list of Milei’s followers who are convinced that it was she herself who leaked the conversations that later inspired her artistic pen.
Rosmery Maturana: I have years of conversations with him, if I had been the one who leaked them to make noise, believe me there are worse things. They hacked me, I think it came from the Santiago Caputo sector. I don’t know him but I was Javier’s voice for a long time, right? So, like we must have things in common with Caputo, if the guy pays attention to both of us it’s because we think alike. That’s why you notice that whenever something happens, every time the Government has a mess, they take me out. And it affects me, but all this didn’t end up hurting Javi: he went from being “the double chin” to “the package one.”
“Oscurita” says that he does not see “Javi” as the President. That every time she turns on the television and the president appears, for her he is just “a guy I met and with whom we opened up a lot.” This magazine, in any case, has been maintaining since the libertarian launched himself as a candidate that an important part of his political capital is precisely the absence of divisions between the public and private Milei, that understanding the latter is understanding the former and that his personal dimension explains a large part of the things that happen in this Government, such as for example the monopoly that his sister has over him and, therefore, over the Executive. Therefore, what follows is a political conversation.

Rosmery Maturana: Someone who totally opened his heart to me and I to him. He is a very humble guy, I knew that boy, he was also very lonely. It also had very little street, very little street, you didn’t even know the neighborhoods. I suppose that is because of a very bad relationship in his family, not because of anything else, because he has tried to have a street. But he was a guy who was always there for me, and I accompanied him, if I had to challenge him I told him, cut your nails, comb your hair. I know his shortcomings and that’s why I didn’t vote for him nor do I think I’m going to vote for him, I knew everything he wanted to do and I saw that he was bringing in people I didn’t like, dinosaurs like Bullrich, Sturzenegger or “Toto” Caputo.
