Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs and superstar Taylor Swift will be getting married this summer. Is the tight end distracted by the preparations?
“You don’t notice any distraction from the wedding,” said Chiefs head coach Andy Reid in a media round: “He was here for most of the offseason, was very present and did a good job. He is full of anticipation for the coming season.”
The 68-year-old said that Kelce was “perhaps more committed” to the preparations than he was before his own wedding. “When I got married, my wife did everything. I just followed her lead and showed up at the place when I was told. But Travis is still very focused on his job with the Chiefs,” Reid said.
When and where the wedding will take place is not yet officially known. Several media outlets reported July 3rd as the date. The celebration will therefore take place with around 1,000 guests in Madison Square Garden in New York.
Will the Chiefs coach also be among the guests? “I can’t talk about that,” replied “Big Red” to this question.
For Kansas City, the new season begins on September 14th with the game against the Denver Broncos.
