Under the motto “you don’t have to buy everything you like,” Dille & Kamille is launching a loan service. From a pasta machine that you only use twice a year to a filled picnic basket that you would only take to the park for one sunny afternoon: from now on you can get it for just one week.
Borrowing is very simple: members choose their package in the store, pay a deposit and get it back when they return it. You first experience an item in practice, which reduces the chance that it will end up unused in the back of a kitchen cupboard or in the attic.
“Many of the best moments arise around cooking, eating and celebrating together,” says general manager Hans Geels. “For those moments you sometimes need something that you only use once or twice. Then temporary use is sometimes perfectly sufficient. With the loan service we want to show that buying is not always necessary.”
Seasonal
The offer changes with the season and the moments that go with it. Three packages are available this summer: a pasta package with pasta machine, drying rack, dough wheel and ravioli maker, a picnic package with basket, six cups and plates and a party package with cake plate, cake server and two flag lines. Later, a fondue package for the colder evenings and a drinks package for pleasant moments together will be added.
If you want to be sure of availability, it is best to call the store in advance or walk in to make a reservation. The loan service is available in all Dille & Kamille stores in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France.
