Shots were fired at the Wilhelminaveld in Bergen op Zoom during a conflict between several people. The police reported this on X. They are investigating the street.
According to a police spokesperson, much is still unclear. The control room received several reports from people who thought shots had been fired in the street.
A sniffer dog was used to search for traces in the Infanteriestraat in Bergen op Zoom on Sunday evening. A bullet hole was found in the glass entrance of Poppodium Building-T.
Several people were said to have been involved in a conflict after which explosions sounded. These people fled in different cars.
Unclear if there are any injuries
The police are currently not aware that anyone has been injured. “It is unclear to us whether anyone was injured because no one was left behind. We hope to get more clarity.”
The cars are being searched in the area. The police cannot say how many cars are involved.
The police are calling on people in the area to share (doorbell) camera images with them.
UPDATE 8:21 PM: An hour after the shooting in Bergen op Zoom, the police arrested two people in Dongen. The police are investigating what their role was.
