A man was seriously injured on Sunday afternoon around half past twelve in an accident on the skating rink on the Nieuwkuikseweg in Nieuwkuijk. He was skateboarding when he fell and ended up in an unfortunate position.
Many emergency services came to the skating rink. Several ambulances and an air ambulance were called, and the fire brigade also came to help.
Screens were placed around the victim so that bystanders could not watch during the treatment.
Treated for a long time
Emergency workers spent about an hour treating and stabilizing the man. He was then rushed to hospital.
According to police, the man suffered serious injuries.

The police investigated the cause of the accident at the skating rink. Photos were taken.
The victim’s skateboard was taken for further investigation.
