After being shaken in recent days by a theft of technical material, which was later found, the team led by Tuchel also had to deal with the weather alert which forced the players to stay in the hotel. In fact, shortly after 8pm, a strong storm hit Kansas City accompanied by violent gusts of wind. Thousands of residents in the surrounding area, including members of the team, received emergency alerts on their cellphones and tornado warning sirens rang out in the downtown area. Although the area where the England team was located was not directly hit by a tornado, it still experienced adverse weather conditions, including strong winds, thunder, lightning and torrential rain.
