FC Bayern does not have to fix many of the squad’s construction issues for the 2026/27 season, but two new offensive players and national team player Nathaniel Brown should still play in Munich in the summer if possible. One of the names specifically traded for the attack department is Marcus Rashford from Manchester United. However, the speculations are apparently not all that specific.
FC Bayern is trying “intensively” to secure the services of Marcus Rashford, who was loaned out to FC Barcelona by Manchester United in 2025/26 but is under contract with the Red Devils until the end of June 2028. This was recently reported by “fichajes.net”. On Friday, the online portal “TEAMtalk” even reported that the Munich-based company was already preparing a 25 million euro offer.
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the rumors about the Englishman are by no means as concrete as was recently speculated in media reports. “Rashford is recognized by some of those responsible at FC Bayern, but there are currently neither negotiations nor an offer. FC Bayern’s focus is elsewhere,” emphasized the sports journalist on his YouTube channel.

There have been “a few inquiries from FC Bayern in the last two to three weeks to get an idea of the situation surrounding Marcus Rashford,” he revealed. However, it remained that way: “They only asked in general terms whether he could become an option. As things stand, however, FC Bayern is leaning towards a different type of player, such as Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven.”
Last season, Rashford impressed on loan at FC Barcelona. The national player himself would reportedly like to stay at FC Barcelona and permanently move to the Catalans. However, Barca have other players higher on their wish list. That’s why sports director Deco and Co. are playing for time.
