Jack van Gelder, who left Hélène Hendriks’ talk show with quite a fuss, no longer remembers that he ever presented Triviant. But he does not have Alzheimer’s, he emphasizes.
The TV game Triviant returns to television and at Show news they therefore delve into the history of the program. This led, among other things, to a call with Jack van Gelder, who turned out to have once been the presenter of the program. Turns out it was, because the presenter himself knew nothing about it. Yet it was, in 2007.
No Alzheimer’s
It’s strange that Jack didn’t remember that, says celebrity expert Bart Ettekoven. “Jack van Gelder once presented that, so we called him and he was just as surprised as you. He says: ‘I think that was written incorrectly somewhere at some point, because that is really not true.’”
He continues: “We then sent him a fragment in which he can actually be seen as a presenter and then he said the legendary words: ‘How stupid. I really don’t remember anything about that, but I really don’t have Alzheimer’s.’”
‘Strange!’
Astrid Joosten does remember that she presented Triviant. She says: “Triviant is a fun game that I was happy to present at the time. I wish Anniko the best of luck.”
Telegraaf reporter Jordi Versteegden finds the choice for Anniko awkward. “I think it’s strange. If you bring back an old program, don’t you also want to reach young people? Then you wouldn’t put Anniko van Santen on, would you?”
Tina critical
TV authority Tina Nijkamp previously suggested putting Eva Jinek on the show, but she was not the one. “I was already a bit afraid of this,” she now responds.
“Nothing to the detriment of Anniko, but Eva would have been more surprising and also a bit better for the viewing figures, I think.”
