Mart Hoogkamer causes confusion and concerns by appearing on television with several pimples on his forehead. It’s crazy, says Private star journalist Jan Uriot. “He is already 28 years old.”
Acne is a skin condition in which the sebaceous glands become clogged, leading to pimples, blackheads and inflammation. It occurs most often in teenagers and young adults, but does not always adhere to that age limit. Stress, diet, hormonal fluctuations and sleep deprivation can also cause an outbreak later in life.
TV pimples
The fact that Mart Hoogkamer appears on television with pimples at the age of 28 is therefore not particularly alarming from a medical point of view, but Jan Uriot nevertheless finds it remarkable enough for an item in the podcast Strictly Private.
Jan is worried. “I looked at the images of Shownieuws. I noticed that on Mart’s forehead when he talked about that father… He already had spots on his neck from that father, but he also had pimples on his forehead. I thought: what’s wrong with Mart?”
Mosquito sting
According to Jan, it is very unusual to have pimples at that age. “He is 28 years old, can you still have acne? Yes! I called a doctor about it and he said: ‘That is certainly still possible’, but it could also be that it is some kind of allergy or that he has been bitten by a mosquito.”
By a mosquito?! “Yes, and that mosquito thought: I’m not going to do just one injection, but I’m going to do a few. The doctor also said: ‘It could also be clogged pores’, and then buttermilk might help.”
Helping people
Doesn’t Jan think it’s a bit exaggerated to make a big fuss about this? Mart just has a few pimples and his girlfriend apparently didn’t want her powder brush over them.
Oh well, he only wants to help, the Private Dino decides. “You shouldn’t just shout things, but also provide tools and that’s what I do. Helping people, that’s what it’s all about.”
