The Portuguese first division team FC Famalicão presented two new signings from Germany and Switzerland on Friday: Left-back Leny Meyer (21) is moving from the third division team VfB Stuttgart to northern Portugal, where he has signed a contract until 2030. The latter also applies to central defender Finn van Breemen (23), whom Famalicão signed from FC Basel 1893 for a rumored fee of 1.5 million euros. Meyer, on the other hand, will move on a free transfer after his contract expires, according to “Kicker”.
The two-time Swiss U21 international came to Stuttgart in 2024 from his youth club FC Luzern. Since then he has appeared in 58 games in the third division, scoring two goals and preparing four goals. During this time, Meyer increased his market value from 500,000 to 600,000 euros. Now he joins the fifth-placed team in Portugal last season and, like van Breemen, the youngest squad in the league with an average age of 24.5 years.
The six-time Dutch U21 international has played for FCB since 2023 after coming from The Hague for one million euros and won the double in 2025. In 52 appearances, van Breemen contributed three goals and four assists.
