A 56-year-old man from the municipality of Midden-Drenthe has been arrested for involvement in the drug lab that was discovered yesterday in Bovensmilde. The police let us know.
“He is suspected of involvement in the drug location. The man is in custody and is being interrogated. We do not rule out that other arrests will follow,” a spokesperson said.
Yesterday, a drug lab was discovered on Kanaalweg in Bovensmilde after a report to the police. A setup for the production of synthetic drugs was found. Barrels containing an as yet unknown liquid were also found. These are being investigated.
The National Dismantling Facility (LFO) was able to safely dismantle the location. Research will have to reveal exactly what kind of drug lab this is. The goods and raw materials that were found were taken for examination. All materials will be destroyed after the investigation.
Today the police are still investigating the area around the drug lab.
