At FC Bayern, squad positions are traditionally fiercely contested. Many talents are therefore looking for another way to make it to the Bundesliga. A highly traded youngster is now making the jump to the upper house via newly promoted SV Elversberg.
FC Bayern is letting its offensive talent Maurice Krattenmacher move to Bundesliga promoted team SV Elversberg. The club confirmed this on Friday afternoon. Transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano, among others, had already reported on Thursday that an agreement had been reached.
Krattenmacher signed a four-year contract in Saarland until 2030. The clubs did not provide any information about the amount of the transfer fee. As “Sky” previously reported, Bayern have secured a buyback option.
“With Maurice, we are signing a very talented player who has already impressively demonstrated his skills in the 2nd Bundesliga. We are convinced that with his dynamism, his feeling for space and his varied dribbling, he fits very well into our requirement profile on the wing and will adapt to the higher level in the Bundesliga very quickly,” said SVE sports director Christian Weber in a statement from the club.
Krattenmacher was under contract with the German record champions until 2027. He was signed by SpVgg Unterhaching in 2024, but was immediately loaned to SSV Ulm 1846. The following year he moved on to Hertha BSC on loan.
FC Bayern’s talents are moving on
In the 2nd Bundesliga, the attacking midfielder can now look back on 54 games in which he was in the starting line-up 30 times and provided four goals and four assists. At Berlin’s Hertha he was part of the extended regular staff, especially in the first half of the season, but a thigh injury set him back in the second half of the season.
The twelve-time Germany U20 international has not yet played a single game for FC Bayern. After all, he was part of the team that traveled to the Club World Cup in the USA last summer.
According to reports, a farewell to the German record champions is also on the cards for the two previously awarded players, Jonah Kusi-Asare and Jonathan Asp Jensen.
Kusi-Asare could be signed permanently by his loan club FC Fulham, reports “Sky”. Asp Jensen is said to have attracted interest from some Bundesliga clubs. According to “Bild”, the most concrete thing is the recruitment of Lazio Rome from the Italian Serie A.
