Nico Schlotterbeck extended his contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2031 in the spring. However, the central defender secured a clause that allowed him to leave BVB early in the summer for a few other clubs. Real Madrid should belong to this circle. The Royals were recently said to be interested in the 26-year-old again.

SC Freiburg signs attacker Keisuke Goto from Belgian first division club RSC Anderlecht. The Bundesliga club officially announced this on Thursday morning.

The club did not provide any information about the terms of the contract or the amount of the transfer fee.

“With Keisuke we were able to gain an exciting player with interesting abilities. His daring style of play will be good for us,” SC board member Jochen Saier was quoted as saying in a statement: “He likes to look for depth, has a good sense of space and also the feel for how he has to behave in the penalty area. He will certainly need a certain amount of time for integration and further development – and he will get it. We are happy!”
