Tuija Pehkonen has said in public that she is considering moving her family away from the center of Helsinki.

Presenter Tuija Pehkonen and snowboarder Eero Ettala are selling their apartment.
The couple’s four-bedroom apartment is located in Ullanlinna, Helsinki. The apartment on the top floor has 154 square meters and, according to the sales announcement, it is being asked for 1,598,000 euros. Be the first to report on it Stop.
Pehkonen also works as a social media influencer and has published content from his home on Instagram, e.g. from the children’s bedroom and from the family kitchen.

Pehkonen has also worked as a columnist for Yhteishyva. He described in one in his writing last fall the family’s home in Helsinki as a “home for the rest of life”.
– We have a home right in the center of Helsinki. It was renovated for a long time and diligently. The interior design philosophy is like straight from Finland’s most beautiful home: furniture has been bought little by little, so that things really find their place. There are also a few boards on the walls. All services are nearby, the playground is on the other side of the street and the school is right next to it, Pehkonen wrote.

– When we moved here, I promised my husband, who was fed up with my constant side hustle projects, that we would now be in our home for the rest of our lives. This should be the fulfillment of my dreams, a girl from Iisalmi, he continued.
In his column, however, Pehkonen revealed his need to get away from the center of Helsinki and his longing for the bosom of nature. Last winter, Pehkonen and Ettala moved with their families from Helsinki to Kuusamo.

In the spring, the family returned to Helsinki. Pehkonen has told in his podcast and on social media what kind of thoughts the family’s disconnection from everyday life caused.
Among other things, Pehkonen has described the move to Ruka as one of the best decisions of his life. The experience has also changed perceptions of where the family sees themselves living in the future.
– Fortunately, we are pretty much on the same page that such big decisions should not be made on the spur of the moment one way or the other, Pehkonen recently reflected on a podcast.

He said in his podcast in May that the family is currently planning to live in the Helsinki home and think about what they will do next. Pehkonen shed light on how his thoughts revolved around, for example, moving away from the center of Helsinki to a quieter area, for example Espoo, Sipoo or Porvoo. The family has also considered buying a home from Ruka.
Pehkonen said at the same time that the family plans to return to Ruka next winter.
– We want to do this again, play a little more time and at the same time increase the stakes. That’s why we’re currently running an insane search for our next Ruka home.
Pehkonen and Ettala got married in 2019. The family includes two sons who were born in September 2020 and August 2023.
