For years, Bettina Julieta Angeletti She maintained an extremely low profile, staying away from political activity and media exposure. But for weeks, the couple Manuel Adorni began to occupy a large space on the media agenda after the controversy over his participation in the official tour that the government of Javier Milei took place in New York, in March of this year, within the framework of the event ““Argentina Week”. From then on, after that scandal, the wife of the Chief of Staff was under judicial and journalistic scrutiny, linking her to her husband’s assets and the suspicious acquisition of real estate.
Angeletti, 43 years old, studied Administration and works as an ontological coach. He also developed activities linked to business advice and organizational coaching. At the time she was related to the consulting firm + Be, a firm dedicated to providing organizational development, leadership and support services to private companies. His professional career developed mainly in the corporate and business training field, far from public service.

Angeletti’s presence generated political questions because he does not hold any state position and traveled on the ARG-01 presidential plane along with the official delegation.
The controversy escalated quickly and led to requests for reports in Congress, judicial complaints and questions from opposition sectors. The criticism aimed to determine whether the inclusion of the wife of the Chief of Staff on the official flight had meant an improper use of public resources. Faced with the scandal, Adorni publicly defended the decision and maintained that his partner had accompanied him without generating additional costs for the State. In journalistic statements he stated that he was on an intense work schedule in the United States and that he had wanted to travel accompanied by his wife.
At the same time, journalistic investigations began to spread about the assets of the Adorni-Angeletti couple. One of the most mentioned points was the acquisition of a residence in Exaltación de la Cruz, in the gated community Indio Cua Golf Club that appears in the name of Angeletti herself. Said property would not have been reflected in certain asset declarations linked to the official, despite being a property considered marital property within the marriage. These revelations prompted complaints and requests for investigations into alleged illicit enrichment and possible asset omissions. Publicly, the official rejected all accusations and assured that he had nothing to hide.
The debate on family properties deepened when different media examined other real estate operations attributed to the chief of staff’s financial environment. The investigations identified property purchases financed through unusual mechanisms and private loans that raised questions about the origin and traceability of the funds. Although a large part of these investigations focused on the assets declared by Adorni, the figure of Angeletti appeared repeatedly because some assets were registered in his name.
The woman is being investigated by Judge Ariel Lijo, who is trying to establish whether there were incompatible negotiations with the public service and three State supplier companies that made million-dollar payments to +Be, the consulting firm of the official’s wife. The situation once again placed Angeletti at the center of the scene this week, when it emerged that she had enrolled in the so-called regime ofand “fiscal innocence”a tax regularization mechanism provided for by Law 27,799.
According to records released by journalistic media, the wife of the Chief of Staff would have formally requested her membership on May 31, 2026 before the Customs Collection and Control Agency (ARCA). The published documentation indicates that the presentation corresponds to the fiscal period 2025. That speech would not fit with the request that his wife has just made, because Angeletti appears as a self-employed worker since April 2017, in the category “professional, scientific and technical activities”, and for years she was listed as a monotributista.
The requested regime allows the externalization of income, assets or goods that had not been previously declared, with benefits linked to the reduction of criminal and tax consequences. Until now, it has not been officially disclosed what the amount involved would be or what specific assets would have motivated Angeletti to join the system. This lack of precision fueled new political and media speculation because the registration was known a few days before the presentation of new asset declarations linked to the family environment of the Chief of Staff.
