Co-favorites Portugal celebrated a sense of achievement at the end of their World Cup preparations. The team around Cristiano Ronaldo, Vitinha and Bruno Fernandes won 2-1 (1-1) against Nigeria on Wednesday evening in Leiria.

The former world footballer Ronaldo, who was the only outfield player from the starting eleven who was still on the pitch after the break and wants to play in his sixth World Cup finals (record), missed several good opportunities. Juve star scores to win

The Portuguese have never appeared in a World Cup final, but are considered contenders for a long tournament in North America thanks to their star-studded squad. The 2016 European champions will face DR Congo (June 17th/Houston), World Cup newcomers Uzbekistan (June 23rd/Houston) and Colombia (June 28th/Miami) in Group K.
