Festival goers have only just recovered from the last weekend of partying, and the next one is already waiting: Nova Rock in Austria starts on June 11th and offers four days of full-on rock. Here is all the information about the line-up, how to get there and whether there are still tickets available.
This year’s Rock im Park and Rock am Ring sold out in record time. Unfortunately, those who decided late came away empty-handed. The one-day longer festival in Austria, however, still has tickets on offer – and the line-up is just as promising. Headliners include Volbeat, The Cure, Iron Maiden and Bring Me The Horizon, accompanied by well-known names such as The Offspring, Papa Roach and Architects.

Tickets
The Nova Rock is not yet sold out, so spontaneous people can still grab it. A four-day festival pass costs around 280 euros, day tickets are between 130 and 150 euros, depending on the festival day.
Arrival
The Nova Rock takes place in Burgenland in Nickelsdorf, right on the border with Hungary. You can get there comfortably with the bus shuttle from Vienna – bookable via the Nova Rock website. The buses leave from the Erdberg bus terminal and take festival-goers along with their luggage and camping equipment. The offer also applies to day guests: the shuttle also takes visitors back to Vienna at night.
Anyone traveling from other cities – including Germany – can look for a suitable connection via the provider “Partybusse.de”. The bus company is an official festival partner and brings music fans from Munich, Nuremberg and Passau to Nova Rock, among others.
Special trains also run for Nova Rock: Special trains run without stopping between Vienna Meidling and Nickelsdorf.
Drivers can reach the site via the A4 motorway with the Nickelsdorf exit or alternatively via the Mönchhof exit. The access for caravans differs from that for normal cars and is already signposted on the motorway before the Mönchhof exit – these signs must be observed.
Cashless payment
The Nova Rock Festival is cash-free. A cashless account allows you to conveniently pay with a chip, which can be topped up before the festival. Remaining balance can be paid out online from June 15th at 12 p.m. until July 31st at midnight. Payouts are still possible after this, but must then be requested by email.
