6.9 million paid to recapitalize the club: by the 16th he will have to complete the documents for registration in the cadet championship. And Bari remains waiting
Juve Stabia has a new owner. As was already in the air yesterday, Alfredo Guerri – already a sponsor of the club and also of Napoli Basket – has guaranteed the 6.9 million recapitalization necessary to give the Castellammare club a future. The expression of interest presented by Guerri was deemed suitable by the prevention measures section of the Naples court, chaired by Teresa Areniello. Also participating in the meeting were the deputy prosecutor of the National Anti-Mafia Directorate Antonello Ardituro and the deputy prosecutor of the DDA, Francesco De Falco. The club has been under judicial administration since October 2025 due to alleged mafia infiltration and the directors – Salvatore Scarpa and Mario Ferrara – approved last June 1st the capital increase necessary to move forward, as the deadline of June 16th for registration for the next Serie B championship approaches.

Guerri – welcomed in triumph by the fans upon leaving the court – essentially saved the club, given that the previous owner Francesco Agnello (who in May had purchased the club for one euro from Solmate and then had his shares seized) predictably renounced the recapitalization. Now, once the resources have been found (which will also allow salaries to be paid until May 31st), the race obviously begins to get all the administrative and economic tasks in place by June 16th: among other things, the 800 thousand euro guarantee will be needed and the settlement of the 258 thousand euro mutuality quota for which a referral arrived in recent days. The completion of the registration of Juve Stabia (already sanctioned with a two-point penalty for 2026/27) would obviously extinguish Bari’s hopes of readmission to Serie B, the best of the relegated teams after losing the playout with Sudtirol.

In Castellammare, obviously, we will also have to rebuild on the technical front. If Abate is one step away from the Turin bench, the architect of the last three excellent seasons (promotion to Serie B and two playoff semi-finals in a row) is headed to Bolzano: the young sporting director Matteo Lovisa is in fact ready to move to Südtirol for a three-year project. Between unknowns and hopes, a new cycle will in effect open up.
