Belen Rodriguez is being investigated by the Milan Prosecutor’s Office for failure to assist. The entry in the register of suspects came later two road accidents occurred in the center of the Lombardy capital: a woman driving an SUV had hit several cars without stopping to provide assistance. According to local police investigations, the motorist was Belen Rodriguez himselfwhich was the case reported to the Prosecutor’s Office. And prosecutor Maria Cristina Ria has opened an investigation into the incident.
Belen Rodriguez investigated for failure to assist
The first episode it would have taken place in via Melzi d’Eril, near the Arco della Pace. On that occasion the SUV, which according to the investigation was driven by Belen Rodriguez, hit the mirror of a parked car. The second accident it would have occurred shortly afterwards in via San Marco, in the Brera district. According to reconstructions, the vehicle hit a scooter and other parked vehicles. And three people who were in the vehicles would have suffered minor injurieswith a prognosis of a few days.
The hypothesis of omission of assistance
Regardless of the severity of the injuries, however, according to reports collected by investigators after both incidents, the SUV that caused the accidents he wouldn’t stop. And this is exactly what behavior is underlying the hypothesis of failure to provide assistance contested by the Prosecutor’s Office.
Local police investigations
The local police officers, called by the people involved, have carried out investigations into the two episodes. And they have drawn up an information document accompanied by a complaint subsequently transmitted to the Prosecutor’s Office. The reconstruction was also supported by images and photographs taken by some passers-by present on site: in some of the images the woman’s face can be clearly seen who was driving the car.
The reports and elements collected led to the formal opening of the investigation and the inclusion of Belen Rodriguez in the register of suspects. According to what emerged, the presenter would also have been license withdrawn as part of the measures resulting from the investigations carried out.
Hospitalization in the following days
The legal case is part of a particularly delicate period for Belen Rodriguez. In the days following the episodes, in fact, the presenter had been admitted to the Polyclinic of Milan. The rescue intervention was triggered after a request for help reached 112 from some neighbors, alarmed by the screams coming from the house. She had been transported to hospital under yellow code subjected to investigations medical and discharged the following day because she was judged to be in good condition.
