The image of President Javier Milei continues to deteriorate. According to the latest public report by the consulting firm Giacobbe & Asociados, 55% of Argentines have a negative view of the presidentwhile only 34.2% evaluate it positively and 9.1% do so regularly. The survey was carried out between May 29 and June 3, 2026 on a sample of 2,500 cases throughout the country, with a margin of error of 2%.

The data contrasts with the highest point of positive image that Milei recorded in the same Giacobbe historical series, when his approval reached 58.7%. The deterioration curve accelerated in recent months and the negative image was consolidated above half of the electorate.

The report also measured perceptions about the economy, and the numbers are equally adverse for the Government. 57.8% of those surveyed consider that the worst of the economic crisis is still to comeagainst 40.3% who believe that the most difficult thing has already happened. Meanwhile, when asked about how they perceive the economic situation at the present, 39.8% responded that it is worsening rapidly, and 14.6% indicated that it is worsening slowly. Only 12.7% indicated that they improve quickly.

The consulting firm also revealed the image of other political leaders. Manuel Adorni recorded a 53.6% negative image and a 34.8% positive imagewhile Patricia Bullrich obtained 49.5% negativity compared to 38.8% positive evaluation. Axel Kicillof appears with 55.8% negative and 29.2% positive. The worst figures of the group are for Mauricio Macri, with 64.5% negative image and only 16% positive. Cristina Kirchner, for her part, shares the same positive image level with Milei: 34.2%, with 55% negativity.

Finally, when asked what the country’s main problem is in a single word, respondents most frequently mentioned corruption, unemployment, economy and poverty — a map of concerns that the Government must read carefully ahead of the election year.
