The match will be played at Houston Stadium in Houston, Texas. Minister Sterk (Long-Term Care) is also present at the match. The royal couple and the princess will then travel to Kansas City, where they will attend the group match Ecuador-Curaçao.
The king announced two weeks ago during a press moment that he had plans to go to the World Cup with Máxima and ‘one of his daughters’. “The Netherlands-Sweden and immediately afterwards Curaçao-Ecuador. We can catch both on the same day, there is a few hours in between. That is also a great opportunity to encourage both blue and orange,” he said at the time.
The FIFA World Cup will take place from June 11 to July 19 in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
