In the final second, Oskar Schöll scored a goal on behalf of Volendam. At Aalsmeer they thought the goal had been scored outside time, but the referees knew the goal well, so the final score was 28-26 on the scoreboard.
Party starts
Penalty throws were supposed to bring the outcome. Volendam did this best and after Myrddin Tol managed to take the decisive penalty from Donny Vink, the party started with the away fans.
After winning the Supercup at the beginning of this year, this was the second and most important prize of the season for Volendam. It is the eighth national title in the club’s history.
