Alexander Zverev finally freed from Grand Slam curse: German beats Flavio Cobolli in exciting five-setter

Alexander Zverev has finally won his first Grand Slam title. The 29-year-old German, number 3 in the world, defeated the Italian Flavio Cobolli, fourteenth in the world rankings, in five sets in the final of Roland Garros: 6-1, 4-6, 6-4, 6-7(5), 6-1. Zverev is the first German to win the men’s tournament.
