The arrest happened last Tuesday. According to the police, the 31-year-old man had broken into a house at the Schouwburgring. The resident came home on Tuesday afternoon and saw that the front door was open. Among other things, a tablet and a green backpack were taken from the house.

The police were able to quickly track down the suspect via the tracking function on the stolen tablet. Officers saw him cycling on Beethovenlaan, carrying the green backpack. When he tried to flee, he threw away the backpack with belongings along the way.
