Jeffrey Herlings from Oploo failed to take over the lead in the MXGP classification last Sunday during the German GP. The motocross rider will get a new chance this weekend in Latvia.
On the circuit of Teutschenthal, Germany, Herlings dropped out in the first heat. He finished second in the second heat. Both heats were won by the Belgian Lucas Coenen, who thus consolidated his leading position in the rankings.
In Latvia, Herlings hopes to reduce the points difference with Coenen. Two other Brabanders are also in action: Kay de Wolf from Eersel occupies sixth place in the rankings, Calvin Vlaanderen from Heeswijk-Dinther is twelfth.
