Joachim Klement has made his prediction again.
In 2022, Argentina celebrated the soccer World Cup gold. Which country wins now? PDO
German mathematician and economist Joachim Klement has correctly predicted the winner of the previous three World Cup tournaments.
In 2014, he believed in the German championship, in 2018, Klement made France the world champion, and in 2022, Argentina.
3/3.
And which country will win this summer’s World Cup? Klement trusts Holland, but the turpentine is not completely sun-proof.
The mathematician’s prediction is based on, among other things, the country’s gross domestic product, its ranking in the Fifa ranking, the position of football in the country and also luck.
According to Klementi, up to 45 percent of the results of the World Cup are down to luck – especially in the playoffs that end in one round.
The Dutch championship would be a big surprise, because based on the betting odds, France, Spain, England, Portugal, Argentina, Brazil and Germany are the biggest favorites to win.
Klement warns that his predictions should not be taken too seriously.
– It’s like playing the lottery, Klement states.
Luck is so important that, according to mathematicians, it’s just a coin toss.
– You can predict that the same side will come four times in a row. That can happen, but it doesn’t mean that it will also happen on the next throw, Klement opens.
The FIFA World Cup starts on Thursday evening at 22:00 Finnish time with the match between Mexico and South Africa.
The Netherlands will play in Group F of the Games together with Sweden, Tunisia and Japan.
