The assault took place around 2:30 p.m. on the Machineweg, between Amstelveen and Aalsmeer. The victim was walking there when she was approached from behind by the young cyclist on a fat bike. The perpetrator first touched her buttock and then felt her genitals. Immediately after the assault, the teenager fled.
The police are looking for a boy between 15 and 16 years old with a dark complexion and an oval face. He has short hair at the back and fuller hair on top. He was wearing earphones and a purple shirt during the incident.
The investigating services hope that local residents or passers-by have images of the fleeing perpetrator and call on anyone with information to contact them. The spokesperson cannot say why the police only released the news about the assault two weeks later.
