The absolute main suspect in the French disappearance case has actively started the search for Lyhanna. This is what the mother of a friend of the eleven-year-old girl told news channel BFM TV.

According to Audrey, Jérôme B. had first tried to call her boyfriend “two or three times”. When that didn’t work, he suddenly showed up at their door last Friday. That is the day the teenager was last seen and the searches in Fleurance (Gers) started.
“It must have been between 8:15 and 8:30 p.m.,” Audrey testifies. “He said that Lyhanna was missing and asked if we had not seen her. I went to check with my daughter to see if she had heard anything. Did Lyhanna perhaps want to run away from home or something? But no, nothing special. Jérôme then left, he said he was going to continue looking.”

According to Audrey, he looked very normal. “He just had the concerned look of someone looking for a missing girl.”
Adverse elements
In the meantime, many incriminating elements surrounding the main suspect have come to light. He is the last person Lyhanna was seen with. The suspect stated that he dropped her off at the local swimming pool, but investigators called his explanation “inconsistent and inaccurate.”
The man knew her through his daughter. He had something tasty for her every day when she arrived at school by bus. B. was charged three times in the past with rape or inappropriate treatment of minors, but was never convicted.
“Body was well hidden”
On Thursday, investigators found a body in a remote grain silo that had not been used for at least seven years. The clothes the victim was wearing are similar to Lyhanna’s. An autopsy must definitively determine the identity and cause of death.
According to a source with knowledge of the investigation, there is little doubt: B. knew the area where the body was discovered. That would also have been the reason why the search was done in that place. “The body was well hidden in a difficult to reach part of the abandoned silo. The suspect has worked here in the past and therefore knew the location very well,” it said.
