“With immediate effect”
After forced relegation: 1860 terminates contract with controversial investor

The “Lions” will only play in the fourth league in 2026/27. Now the long-time financier has apparently been shown the door. The Munich-based company made it clear in a statement.
After the end of the third division license, TSV 1860 Munich is drawing far-reaching consequences. The club has ended its collaboration with investor Hasan Ismaik after 15 years. “TSV Munich von 1860 eV has terminated the cooperation agreement with HAM Internaions concluded on May 30, 2011 for good cause with immediate effect,” the club wrote in a statement on Thursday evening.
The club also wrote: “With a view to the 2026/27 season, TSV 1860 Munich is taking all organizational and formal legal measures. The club has already received approval from the Bavarian Football Association for the Bavarian Regional League.”

The trigger was that Ismaik withdrew loans that had already been approved on May 21st. As a result, the required 2.7 million euros for the third division license were missing. The club will therefore have to compete in the regional league next season.
It is unclear whether Ismaik will take legal action against the termination. The Jordanian businessman has invested around 80 million euros in the club over the past 15 years.
