That theme appeals to actor Anne Katic. That is why she would like to participate in the play. “What makes you feel at home somewhere? Does that only have to do with your roots? Or not? I really enjoy the research into that.”

With a Croatian father, she also has multiple roots. She also finds the cast versatile. “So someone from The Hague from singing and opera, dancers. Me again with my background. I’m not completely Dutch either, but half Croatian. Someone who comes from here. We have many different influences together and I think that’s really cool.”

There will be no rehearsals with the cow today. But in two weeks, Stellingwerf promises. “The cow is finished and ready. It was finished by the Braiding Museum in Noordwolde. For Beatrix’s cradle, which is also located there and was made (ed.), it had to be removed from the museum,” Stellingwerf laughs. An electric shovel is built into the cow so that the object can move. “It is about two meters, two and twenty high and five meters long. It is something that defines the image.”

Theater producer BUOG is no stranger to Drenthe. Previously they made the TT performance Jumping Jack, Woeste Gronden about the derrick in ‘t Haantje and Zwerver in Zweeloo about Vincent van Gogh.
