It is one of the most important activities of the year in the field of visual arts. It covers the entire city of Buenos Aires and has representatives from all over the country. It is called NODO and is organized by Meridiano, the institution that brings together the main contemporary art gallery owners in Argentina.
Meridiano defines NODO as an activity that contributes to the strengthening of the Argentine contemporary art market at a regional, national and international level. For this reason, under its umbrella, training and updating meetings where important international visits are presented.
But the main attraction for the general public is a large exhibition that takes place throughout the city, in the most important galleries, coordinated to simultaneously show their best proposals. This year this great circuit of exhibitions will take place between June 4 and 6, from 2 to 8 p.m., and will cover 68 galleries in the neighborhoods of Retiro, Recoleta, Microcentro, La Boca, San Telmo, Palermo and Villa Crespo. Of course, admission is free and open to anyone who wants to visit each exhibition.
In addition, many galleries from the interior of the country and the province of Buenos Aires will be present at NODO, in alliance with their Buenos Aires peers, exhibiting the work of their artists in their facilities.
Given the importance of the activity, the galleries leave the opening of their best exhibitions for this time of year, which is why there are truly unmissable exhibitions on the circuit.

International figures
One of the most interesting aspects of the event is the relationship established between institutions and galleries for the purposes of acquiring works to increase their collection. Within this specific NODO program this year, institutions such as the Ama Amoedo Collection, the HITO Cultural Foundation, the Museum of Modern Art of Buenos Aires, the Franklin Rawson Museum of San Juan, the Museum of Modern Art of Medellín (MAMM), the Museum of Contemporary Art of Panama (MAC) and the Institute of Contemporary Art of Miami (ICA).
A select group of curators and directors of institutions and collections will visit Buenos Aires and will also provide training conferences for the various actors in the art world.
Many private and state institutions support the initiative, such as the National Secretariat of Culture, Arteba, the Ama Amoedo Foundation, the Spanish Embassy in Argentina, the Brazilian Embassy, the Guimarães Rosa Institute (IGR), the Goethe-Institut, the Museo Moderno and the PROA Foundation, among many others.

Information about participating galleries, exhibitions and other activities can be found on the website or IG account of Meridiano, which turns 10 this year and plans a luxury edition of its most important event.
