In the past, Marcel Groninger worked as an assistant coach at various clubs. He did this for two periods at FC Groningen, but he also fulfilled that role at the Jong Oranje from 2019 to 2023. His last job was in Slovenia at Olimpija Ljubljana.
By attracting Groningen, Telstar has taken another step forward in forming a new technical staff. Success trainer Anthony Correia is leaving for FC Utrecht this summer. He takes two assistant trainers with him to the cathedral city. The adventure also stops in Velsen-Zuid for assistant Mounir Azaoum. Furthermore, goalkeeper coach Rick van der Mast will start working at NAC from this summer.
