The Finnish Infinited Fiber Company, which manufactures new fiber from textile waste, has entered into several juicy partnerships with international fashion houses. The latest fashion giant is Pangaia. Adidas is also one of the financiers.
The Finnish Infinited Fiber Company is an enabler of the circular economy in the fashion world. Thanks to its unique technology, the company is able to turn cotton-containing textile waste into a new kind of textile fiber called Infinna. Now, the Pangaia clothing brand has made the first garments from production based on 100% fabric based on this fiber.
Over the years, Infinited Fiber Company has anticipated partnering with numerous fashion giants. These include, but are not limited to, Wrangler, Patagonia, H& M Group and Bestseller. Now a new name has been added to this list: Pangaia.
Each of these brands is developing fabrics and products using Infinited Fiber. In addition to this, Adidas, for example, has put its money in the league and invested in the operations of this “fiber of the future” company.

Infinnah the answer to the sustainability promises of the fashion industry?
Ecology is a growing trend. No wonder, then, that numerous brands are interested in fiber.
– Promises have been made in the fashion industry to move to a circular economy and more sustainable practices, but there are still quite a few solutions to implement it. Infinited Fiber has been well received by several brands. We are the answer to their value propositions, Infinited Fiber Company’s Key Account Manager Kirsi Terho says.
Infinited Fiber aims for global conquest. As a result, the company does little to target domestic brands. However, there is still a long way to go to global conquest, as their pilot plant is small. The new factory is coming with this prospect in 2024. Kirsi Terho says that Infinited Fiber’s technology should be licensed in various production facilities in order to make clothes on a really large scale.
Wrangler, Patagonia, H&M Group and Bestseller intend to make fabrics and products from Infinna fiber as long as Infinited Fiber Company has greater resources to manufacture its fiber or when they can resell the fiber technology to other manufacturers.
Pangaia is a fashion company with a strong technology focus. That’s why they’ve gone further with Infinited Fiber Company’s fiber than many others.
Pangaia created a simple t-shirt from Infinna recycled fiber.
The first garment based on 100% Infinited Fiber
The cooperation between Infinited Fiber Company and Pangaia has been going on for two years. As a technology-focused clothing brand, Pangaia wanted to test the potential of Infinited Fiber from many angles before deciding to launch the first product using it.
On April 5, the Infinited Fiber T-Shirt and the Infinited Fiber Long Sleeve T-Shirt were unveiled. At the same time, these two products are the first garments based on 100% Infinna recycled fiber to end production. The shirts are made from 100% textile waste collected from Finnish consumers.
These shirts are special in that sense too, as they are currently the only clothes made of Infinna fiber to be found on the store shelf.

Pangaia is a new generation brand. Their brand name consists of two words: Pan and Gaia. Pan means all-encompassing and Gaia the mother of the earth. These words well reflect the promises found on the brand’s website.
The Pangaia brand doesn’t just design clothes. It is a technology-focused brand that creates new fabric innovations. They are used to create clothes suitable for everyday life. Environmental issues are of paramount importance to the company. No wonder, then, that the brand is especially popular with awakened young people.
