MusicIsrael may not participate in the Eurovision Song Contest next month. Due to a strike at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which has consequences for the security services, the safety of the Israeli delegation cannot be guaranteed at the moment, the responsible broadcaster KAN reported on Tuesday morning.

It is not clear whether Israel will continue with the strike, withdraw completely or participate from a distance in the event of the strike. The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has not yet commented on the situation.
Israel has been classified in the second semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest with singer Michael Ben David. The event will take place from May 10 to 14 in Turin, Italy.
