The name of the Premier League club Liverpool’s new manager is clear, at least if football journalist Fabrizio Romano is to be believed.

The Premier League club Liverpool has made its choice for a new head coach. According to football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Spanish pilot Andoni Iraola will take the helm of Liverpool.

According to Romano, discussions between Iraola and Liverpool progressed in the last 48 hours. He is to be appointed as Liverpool’s new manager “very soon”.

Iraola, 43, coached Bournemouth to sixth place in the Premier League last season. He was linked with, among other things, AC Milan’s new manager.

Liverpool have been looking for a replacement for Arne Slot, who got the boot last week as head coach of the club’s men’s national team. Slot had time to pilot Liverpool for two seasons.

Liverpool finished fifth in the Premier League. Its streak was cut short at the quarter-final stage of the Champions League when it bowed out to PSG.
